Privacy Policy

Options Trading Simulator is an app for learning how options work and practising with play money. It has no accounts, and we don't ask for your name, email or any other personal details. This page explains the little data the app does use.

What stays on your device

Your progress: lessons, quiz and exam results, onboarding answers, drill streaks, challenges and settings are stored only on your device.
Your practice account: simulated trades, orders and history are stored only on your device. They use play money and are never sent to a broker or to us.
Reminders: if you turn them on, reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications. No server sends them.
Lessons and market data are built into the app. Prices in the simulator are simulated on your device.

Anonymous usage and crash data

To learn which lessons help and to fix problems, the app uses Google's Firebase services:

Firebase Analytics receives usage events, such as which screens are opened, lessons completed and your onboarding choices (for example your experience level and goal), together with a random app-instance identifier, your device model and operating system, the app language, and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address.
Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports and error details, with the device model and operating system, so we can fix bugs.
Firebase Remote Config lets the app download settings, such as which features are switched on, using the same random identifier.

This data is not linked to your identity. We do not collect your device's advertising identifier, ad personalization is turned off, and the app does not track you across other apps or websites. The app contains no advertising.

Google processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy and the Firebase privacy terms. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months and crash reports for 90 days.

Purchases

The app is currently free. If paid features are offered in the future, payments will be handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and we will use RevenueCat to confirm which subscription is active. RevenueCat would receive an anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipts and basic device information. We never see your payment details. This policy will be updated before that happens.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Deleting your data

Progress and practice trades: uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your device. To clear only your practice trades, use Settings → Reset simulator account.
Usage data: uninstalling the app resets its random identifier, so new data can't be connected to the old. To ask us to delete analytics data already collected, email support@learnoptions.app with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We'll act on it within 30 days.
